Plans, provides and supervises the delivery of library services to children, teens, parents and caregivers. Supervises one professional and four paraprofessional employees at three branches. Prepares and presents children’s classes/other activities for children and teens in-person and virtual. Provides collection development, research, readers’ advisory services and outreach to local schools/the community; participates in long-range planning and committee work; oversees the Summer Reading Program and building with regard to the health/safety of staff and members as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association (ALA); minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience. PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Supervising the work of others; in public library research/collection development; working with children/teens/parents/caregivers; planning activities for children/teens; overseeing a library reading program (must specify on application). Also desirable: Bilingual (Spanish/Creole).
