You will also enable service to all geographic areas of the County and all age groups with the new Pop-Up Library launching in the Fall!

  With this new initiative, you have the opportunity to build your own team which will consist of 3 specialty roles:

  • Outreach Supervisor
  • Outreach Librarian
  • Outreach Specialist

   

  Your role will be a combination of outreach, marketing, and programming.

  • Build and maintain relationships with partners throughout the county: nonprofits, businesses, schools, childcare providers, adult educators.
  • Promote the library system, Pop-Up Library, and the 10 brick and mortar branches and History Center
  • Lead and oversee the youth and adult coordinators countywide to implement innovative services.
  • Work with other branch library staff to develop cutting edge programs that serve their unique communities.

Education:

About You

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science.
• 3 years of related experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience working in a public library.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating library programs.

 

 

 

Subject to Passing Substance Screening:  This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening.  An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
