Manages the circulating technology program for the Technology Desk in Strozier. Supervises the daily operation of Access Services & Delivery’s circulating technology services and supporting the main Service Desk at Strozier Library.
Lead cataloger for circulating technology at Strozier Library. Maintains detailed inventory and circulation statistics for circulating technology. Makes replacement and repair suggestions to ASD Technology Coordinator. Works with fines dept to handle fines disputes and identify lost or missing items for circulating technology. Assists the ASD Technology Coordinator in creating policies and procedures for circulating technology and improving scholars' experience at the tech support desk. Troubleshoots basic circulation issues including locating materials and providing general information about library services to patrons. Assists scholars with software troubleshooting and provides in-person and virtual reference services.
Staffs the Strozier Tech Support Desk. Assists with creating and updating the weekly service desk schedules. Assists with coordinating the interviewing and hiring process part time staff. Trains, schedules, approves time sheets, and supervises part-time staff. Works collaboratively with all departments in Access Services and Delivery to cross train full-time and part time staff.
Part of the team that processes ASD’s suite of library materials services including but not limited to Library Materials Requests, Library Express Delivery, Curbside Pick Up, Course Reserves, and Media Digitization. Participates in preparing reports in relation to these services. Assists with Collection Access projects as needed.
Participates in other Access Services & Delivery and Library promotional activities in order to support the Library. Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years.)
Customer Service experience.
Experience conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users.
Experience with applicable computer functions to include Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to utilize problem solving skills.
