The role of the Technical Services Assistant is to process newly acquired library materials in all formats efficiently and accurately. Key responsibilities include receiving incoming materials, checking them against shipping lists, and preparing them for cataloging. Other duties: process books and audio/visual materials for the collection by stamping, printing and placing labels, and covering with book jackets for circulation; clean and repair audio/visual and print materials; and monitor collection of leased materials and return to vendor as appropriate. Assist in Circulation Department on a limited basis as needed and coordinated by Supervisor.
Associate's degree or any equivalent combination of education and/or training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as approved by the Director/CEO.
