Palm Beach State College invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Library Leaning Resources Center Director. The position will provide administrative oversight for the operations of the Library Learning Resources Center (LLRC) and participates with Library Directors for the college-wide coordination of library policies and procedures. Participates in various regional, state and national consortiums and agencies. Assists in book selection and other support materials, supervises staff and schedules, creates and manages budget and long and short range planning. Supports college−wide library network activities, coordinates external library access to multi−type regional network and statewide services such as interlibrary loan and the statewide courier system (SEFLIN); and day−to−day operations for center locations. Coordinates library web access. Prepares and maintains essential library statistics college−wide for state and college reports. Responsible for library acquisitions, purchasing, receiving, and vendor payments. Supports electronic access to library materials, interlibrary loan and coordination with outside library agencies. Serves as the library cluster liaison. Provides plagiarism and copyright guidelines support and coordinates college−wide policies. Creates policies and procedures Oversees library displays and events. Coordinates social media efforts and campus calendars.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Master’s of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited school and a minimum of four years related experience. Must have experience in higher education administration, including experience in supervision.
