Stetson University seeks a collaborative and dynamic Web Services and Research Librarian for a full-time appointment as a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate understands website design, support, and management, and has experience with Springshare’s LibGuides content management system. With the Associate Dean of the Library, and working collaboratively with librarians and staff, this new position will be responsible for the support and enhancement of the library’s web presence and for the planning and implementation of website improvements and upgrades that will enhance the end-user’s library experience.

Tenure-track Assistant Professor: Master of Library & Information Science (MLS/MLIS) is required, with experience in website maintenance and design and LibGuides CMS. Experience with library information systems is preferred. All Stetson librarians are expected to contribute to general reference and research services and function well as a member of a collaborative team. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of best practices, issues, and trends in web design and maintenance, including an understanding of website accessibility; effective communication; interpersonal, organizational, and analytical and assessment skills; ability to manage projects and meet deadlines; and the ability to work flexibly and creatively in a changing environment. In addition, the successful tenure-track candidate should have the demonstrated ability or potential to engage in publication and professional service to meet University tenure and promotion requirements.
