We are looking for a Customer Service Representative for our Frances T. Bourne Jacaranda Public Library. Job Description:
Implement standards of service that ensure the prompt and efficient resolution of each inquiry by customers.
Provide assistance at all library service locations and stations.
Provide directional and services-related information to users.
Assist library users in person, by phone, or electronically.
Assist in material checkout/check-in, retrieve and processes reserves, billing, and missing items.
Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance.
Sort and shelve materials and maintain an orderly arrangement of materials.
Assist in operating and basic troubleshooting of automated materials check-in, emptying and swapping materials bins, and routine maintenance.
Work Hours:
Monday – Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Work shifts include:
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
11:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
You will be expected to work at least one night a week and be a part of the Saturday rotations.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent education.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience in a clerical or customer service environment.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $15.45/hour. Up to $16/hour, with proven library experience.
Position Salary Range: $15.45 - $22.19
