Seeking team-oriented, creative person with a strong public service commitment to library service in a progressive library environment. Provide reference and readers’ advisory services in person, over the phone, and via email to library customers of all ages.
Provide customer reference service, including assisting the public with the online catalog, subscription databases, e-readers, public computers, and the Internet. Assist in collection development, programming, departmental statistics, creation of promotional materials, and other projects as assigned, including the Tool Library.
Work is performed in accordance with established library policies and procedures. Weekend and evening work required.
Master’s degree in Library Science required. Will consider MLIS student enrolled in graduate school at hourly salary of $15.52/hour as Library Assistant II position until degree is awarded.
