Develops and executes a program service that supports the Library System’s Strategic Plan for technology instruction.  Designs and presents technology lectures, small group hands-on workshops and one-on-one assistance.  Creates and offers trainings for system-wide staff, who present technology classes to the public and/or use hardware/software to succeed in their jobs.  Schedules use of the Computer Center and CreationStation.  Assists members in the use of print and electronic resources.  Participates in the evaluation and selection of library electronic resources and hardware//software.  Represents the System Services Division in internal committees and the Palm Beach County Library System when working with community partners.  Compiles and reports statistics related to the Strategic Plan, with a focus on qualitative and quantitative measures for future planning.

Education/Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s Degree in Library Science accredited by the American Library Association (ALA); minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience.  PREFERENCE FOR:  Three (3) years of experience training personnel and the public on technology hardware/software and online library resources (must specify on application); two (2) years of experience with digital hardware/software in both Macintosh (MAC) and Personal Computer (PC) environments, internet and library-related electronic products (must specify on application); experience planning, organizing, implementing and coordinating the efforts of other employees and following through on complex projects (must specify on application); experience presenting clear and precise oral and written reports (must specify on application); bilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
