Initial salary may be up to 15% above the minimum salary based on verified related education, experience, and training above the minimum requirements.
The purpose of this position is to provide public services to library users by conducting research, training library users, developing resources, using information technology and offering programs. The person in this position may also supervise one or more full-time equivalent employees, be the Person in Charge for the day at different locations, contributes to collection maintenance activities, and assists in staff coverage at different branch locations. Information Professionals uphold the mission and values of the library system when performing these duties by following library policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in Library Science or Information Studies; OR a Bachelor’s degree and proof of attaining a Master’s degree, within 4 months, in Library Science or Information Studies from an accredited college or university.
