Our friendly team provides support and direction for library services in Lake County, just minutes away from Orlando, by working collaboratively to provide concierge-level customer service (to both internal and external customers), guiding and planning programming for all ages, and growing staff professional skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
We’re looking for a candidate who has a strong sense of customer service (always seeking a positive outcome), a focus on collaborative problem-solving and brainstorming, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of library programming best practices. Someone who genuinely enjoys working as part of the Administrative team to provide leadership, advice, and encouragement for library programming of all ages will be an excellent fit for this professional team.
Performs professional and administrative work in the provision of effective library services to the citizens of Lake County. Is responsible for participating in adult or youth services work and programming, to include reference services, literacy services, collection development and maintenance and/or technical services according to area(s) of assignment.
May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Liberal Arts, Communications, Marketing or a related field with two (2) years of related experience.
May require a valid Florida driver's license.
