Senior Branch Supervisor

Be part of designing a new library from the ground up!  Lake County is building a new East Lake Library to serve the growing Sorrento area, and this position will play an integral role with Library Administration in designing and sharing input on the new building.  Located inside one of our many County parks, our friendly team works collaboratively to provide top-notch library services, plan and perform programming, and help patrons rediscover the library in a relaxed and supportive environment.

As a Senior Branch Supervisor, this position will also be responsible for growing library services in a second, smaller library branch.  Already established in the community, the Paisley Library currently offers essential library services with the capacity to expand into more enrichment and programming for the rural community it serves.

We’re looking for a candidate who has a strong sense of customer service (always seeking a positive outcome), a focus on collaborative problem-solving (even across branches), excellent communication skills, and an understanding of how library building layouts best serve patrons.  Someone who genuinely enjoys working as part of the branch team to provide concierge-level customer service and programming for any age will be an excellent fit for this role.

Performs professional and administrative work in the provision of effective library services to the citizens of Lake County. Is responsible for participating in adult or youth services work and programming, to include reference services, literacy services, collection development and maintenance and/or technical services according to area(s) of assignment.

May be required to assist with emergency support functions in the event of a declared emergency and/or any other emergency duties as assigned.
