Key Responsibilities: This is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities.

·         Teach in-person and virtual information literacy to students, faculty, and staff of Daytona State College, develop information literacy curriculum, develop instructional support materials.

·         Provide support of all marketing and outreach activities.

·         Provide all patrons with in-person and virtual research assistance. Embed in selected courses as required.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 

·         Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal and customer service skills.

·         Must have a general understanding of Library software programs.

·         Must have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

·         Ability to take initiative, be self-directed and have a commitment to innovation and creativity.

·         Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and be flexible to meet the demands of the College.

·         Must have a general knowledge of all areas of librarianship.

Required Qualifications:  This position requires a master’s degree in library science, Information Studies, or related field and three (3) years supervisory experience in a library setting, one year teaching, graduate internship, or relevant experience in a library.
