The Smathers Libraries is an active member of the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL) Collaborative Federal Depository Program (CFDP), and participates in the Centers of Excellence (COEs) project by collecting, cataloging and digitizing the holdings of over 30 agencies. An early participant in the GPO Preservation Steward program, the Smathers Libraries has taken an active stand in efforts to promote and protect print and digital access to government documents, including an active commitment to catalogue all federal documents in the UF collections to ensure access to this important historical content. The Smathers Libraries is unique in having a “Last Copy” policy ensuring that all academic libraries in Florida and all selective depository libraries in the region can deposit federal government documents for permanent retention.
You are invited to apply for this nationally strategic position within a vibrant, energetic community of professionals dedicated to furthering the intellectual missions of this research-intensive, land-grant, public institution.
