- Position REQUIRES a Master's degree from an ALA accredited program.
- Description:
This is a part-time. Reference Librarian on evenings from Monday through Thursday at the Library, and Instructor of Research Methods (if desired) mornings and/or afternoons
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides support material for student reference services, e.g. library policy handouts, citation format handouts.
- Supervises circulation, including administering circulation policies, training, and updating holds on the CampusVue student database.
- Trains work-study library assistants
- Ensures that library shelves are in order.
- Assists in cataloging.
- Assists in supervision of physical items' processing.
- Conducts library tours.
- Assists in other projects as needed.
- Represents the college when need arises.
- Provides reference service to students.
For instructor:
- Experience teaching in an academic setting (desired)
- Education:
- MLS from accredited institution.
- Reference experience in an academic library environment.
- Familiarity with MS Office
