This is an academic, innovative, visionary leadership position responsible for TCC’s Division of Library Services, which is housed on the main campus of Tallahassee Community College in the Academic Affairs Division. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Director provides strategic leadership of library services and collections. The Director is responsible for planning, budget, and staffing in support of the academic and information needs of faculty, students, and staff. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with the strong understanding of the evolving role of the library as a flexible environment built to accommodate multiple learning activities. Other duties include; supervision of full-time staff, reference and instruction services, library facilities, coordination of information technology, outreach to the community, collaboration with campus administrators to meet strategic goals, and assessment of library services.
Master’s Degree in Library Sciences (MLS) or Information Sciences (MLIS) from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution. Three years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the library or related profession is also required.
