Warner University, Lake Wales Florida seeks application for a proactive, collaborative librarian - Online Instructional Librarian and Cataloger. This individual will work with classroom faculty and librarians to provide leadership in integrating library services into a growing program of distance education in graduate, undergraduate, hybrid, and online classes in accordance with Association of College & Research Libraries Standards (Embedded Librarian). Additionally, the successful candidate will provide reference assistance to traditional students and be in charge of the library as required including one evening a week and occasionally some weekend hours.
Master's degree in Librarianship/Information Sciences from an ALA-accredited library program.
Experience in the delivery of library instruction to university students, both face-to-face and online.
Knowledge of MARC 21 Formats for Bibliographic Data, AACR2, RDA, Library of Congress Classification, Library of Congress Subject Headings, OCLC Bibliographic Formats and Standards.
Experience with distance education.
Experience with the assessment of student learning outcomes.
Familiarity with asynchronous teaching and learning methods. Work experience or academic background in instructional design and instructional technology.
Strong oral and written communication skills and knowledge of the complexities of social media accounts.
Experience creating subject, course, or topic guides using LibGuide, or willingness to learn the platform.
