Description:

The Library and Learning Commons Manager (Manager) performs all functions required for the efficient and effective operation and maintenance of the assigned Campus/ Center Library and Learning Commons (LLC) facility. Provides library and tutoring staff supervision and training to ensure the highest quality services and assistance to students and faculty. The Manager provides daily management, coordination, training and evaluation of full and part time staff and student workers within the Campus/Center LLC.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule and manage library and tutoring staff and services and supervise the daily operations of the LLC under the direction of the Campus/Center LLC administrator.

Provide academic workshops for students and faculty.

Monitor LLC instructional technology and ensure timely resolution of technology issues.

Lead LLC support staff through training in procedures, academic skills, tutoring strategies, and mentor LLC staff to improve their customer service skills.

Under the direction of an LLC administrator, provide term to term planning of the LLC

Conduct and/or participate in informal and formal meetings and committees with LLC staff, campus faculty, college administrators, and Campus/ Center support services; participate in professional development opportunities.

Create new instructional resources, programming, training and workshops

Follow established LLC policies and procedures.

Recruit, assess and evaluate performance of LLC staff to ensure diversity and accountability. Manage employee schedules and timecard/payroll processes

Manage data collection, analysis, and reporting related to the operation and services of the LLC.

Manage schedule and maintain the Campus/Center LLC facility including resources and equipment selection/procurement.

Manage operational budgets and purchasing processes for the LLC.

Perform other duties as may be assigned.


Education:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution supplemented by a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
