BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF DUTIES: Provides a full range of circulation desk duties. Maintains orderly flow of returned materials. Assists with children's programs, tours, outreach events and special events for all ages as directed. Instructs the public in the use of library resources including online catalog, databases, print and digital resources, and more. Creates topical resource displays. Performs related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED. Library Science degree or Associates degree in education is desirable. One (1) year experience in customer service work. Customer service experience working in a library or bookstore is a plus. Working knowledge of computer and technology systems. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and the public. Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: The selected candidate will have a background check and physical exam completed prior to employment. Possession of a current valid Florida Driver’s License required.

The compensation package will start at the base salary range and may vary based on proven abilities of the individual selected. The position is Florida Retirement System (FRS) eligible.
