Sarasota County Library System seeks applicants for nine (9) PART-TIME seasonal Customer Service Representative jobs at public libraries throughout the County. Each of the libraries serves as a community hub of activity, an information/learning center and a gathering place. The primary role of the Customer Service Representative is to provide direct assistance to library patrons in the location and use of information and complete routine tasks related to the daily operation of the library.(Duration: 8 weeks; 20 hours/week)
(Official Title: Customer Service Representative): Customer Services Representatives provide direct library services to citizens, in person and by phone. Employee will be assigned to assist throughout the library in Circulation, Youth and Information Services areas.

Minimum Qualifications: A High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year experience in clerical or public contact work and working knowledge of computer and hardware systems dealing with public response.

Speaks clearly and distinctly. Has the ability to handle challenging customer service situations, requesting assistance from co-workers and supervisor when necessary. Possesses technical operational knowledge of and skills to operate phone, computer hardware/software systems and standard business equipment.
