The Warren Library announces the search for a well-qualified Digital Services librarian to fill an open position within its team of librarians. The Digital Services Librarian collaborates in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of digital projects to enhance user experience and improve workflows within the library. The primary focus of the position is administering core library systems including the library discovery interface (Primo), library management system (Alma), and other digital service tools (LibGuides, ArchivesSpace, Contentdm, etc.) ensuring successful delivery of integrated services that provide seamless user access to resources. This individual will work closely with the Collection Management Team in supporting the management and troubleshooting of the Library’s digital resources, including e-books, journal subscriptions, databases, and other digital assets. This position will also participate in scheduled reference and instructional services including evening and weekend rotation. This is a faculty position with support for promotion and opportunities for broader University service.
This position requires a graduate degree in library science from an ALA-accredited institution and additional experience in an academic library. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate experience in managing the complexities of contemporary library systems and digital services. Proficiency in the general research skills required in academically rigorous and technologically sophisticated libraries is essential. The successful candidate must have the oral, written, and interpersonal skills required to be effective in a demanding team-based organization. Qualified candidates must also demonstrate strong Christian commitment as evidenced by local church involvement and the ability to integrate faith with day-to-day job performance. An additional advanced degree within a discipline of the university’s academic program is strongly desired.
