Broward County, Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Library Regional Manager for the North Cluster. Additional vacancies may be filled from this recruitment. This position may be assigned to any location within the Libraries Division based on operational needs.
The purpose of this position is to manage, plan, supervise and coordinate the activities of a cluster of libraries or flagship library location or a division-wide section. The functions of this position include but are not limited to: supervising staff, managing public services, operations, projects, programs, facilitating partnerships, community engagement, coordinating, developing, and implementing division-wide initiatives. This position is responsible for collaborating with partner organizations, local community groups, government agencies, arts and educational institutions, local businesses, and Friends of the Library and is regularly assigned complex administrative projects.
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association in Library Science or Library and Information Science.
Requires five (5) years of professional library experience including four (4) years managing a section/branch and four (4) years of supervisory experience.
Certificates in Community Information Management; ALA Leadership; Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute; or Post Master Certificates in Librarian-ship
Master's Degree in Public Administration; Education; Information Technology; Social Work, or Business Administration
Experience in Conflict Resolution, Project Management, Grants Writing, or Partnership
